Hill Named ACC Cross Country Performer of the Week

RALEIGH, N.C. — Ryan Hill was named the Atlantic Coast Conference men’s cross country performer of the week on Monday for his performance at the Paul Short Run this past Friday at Bethlehem, Pa.

A true-sophomore from Hickory, N.C., Hill edged a tightly packed group of runners by one second to win individual title honors in the Wolfpack’s first significant race of the 2009 season. The Paul Short run was held at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.  Hill ran the 8K course in a time of 23:40, helping the 19th-ranked Wolfpack to a third-place finish in a 42-team field that included three ranked teams.
