Women's Tennis No. 36 in Preseason Rankings

RALEIGH, N.C. The NC State women’s tennis team earned a No. 36 national ranking as released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on January 6, 2008. The Pack finished last season also ranked No. 36 after a trip to the first round of the NCAA championships and finishing the season 13-11. NC State opens its spring season on Friday, January 16 with a 5 p.m. match against Elon.
Sophomore Lenka Hojckova also earned her first national ranking at No. 87 in singles, and junior Berkeley Brock is ranked No. 27 in the Southeast region. Brock and Hojckova are also ranked No. 2 in doubles in the regional rankings after going 9-3 in fall doubles play.
