Brock and Hojckova To Compete in ITA All-American

RALEIGH, N.C. Junior Berkeley Brock and sophomore Lenka Hojckova will travel to Malibu, Calif. to compete in the pre-qualifying round of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships. The two members of the NC State women’s tennis team will compete in both doubles and singles competition in the event hosted by Pepperdine University. Play will begin on Sept. 27 and will go until Sept. 29.
The pre-qualifying round will consist of a 64-player singles round and a 32-pair doubles round. A player, or duo, must win three matches to continue on to the qualifying round, which will be held on Sept. 30 to Oct. 1 at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Brock competed at the UVA Invitational this past weekend, and went 2-1 in singles. Hojckova also competed at the same event and notched two singles wins and a loss. Her two wins came over two ranked players, No. 37 Caitlin Whoriskey and No. 100 Nadine Fahoum. The pair also competed together in Virginia and went 1-1 in doubles play.
