Women's Soccer Falls to Old Dominion, 1-0

NORFOLK, VA. - The NC State women's soccer team fell to Old Dominion, 1-0, on Sunday, Sept. 21 in Norfolk, Va. The goal was scored by Kelsey Williams in the 39th minute, and moved Old Dominion to 7-1, and the Pack fell to 7-2.
NC State had only a few scoring opportunities in the first half, but was unable to catch up with Old Dominion.
Williams' goal came with a little more than five minutes left in the game. Alyssa Pietrobono and Jodi Knorowski put together a passing combo to move the ball to William's at the top of the box. Williams' was then able to sneak the ball past Pack goalie Kim Kern to score the only goal of the game.
Kern had nine saves in the game, and Old Dominion goalie Lauren Tupman had one.
NC State will return home to Raleigh to face North Florida on Wednesday, Sept. 24. The game will begin at 3 p.m.
