Welte Falls in Round of 32 at Southern Intercollegiate

NC State senior standout Christian Welte fell in the round of 32 at the Southern Intercollegiate at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga. Welte was the last Wolfpacker in the field of the prestigious annual fall tournament.

Welte lost a close first set, 7-5, to Georgia's Javier Garrapiz, who is the ninth seed and ranked 71st nationally. Garrapiz would come out strong and take the second set, 6-1, from Welte to advance.
