Cavaday, Weinacker to Compete in NCAA Doubles Field

Senior Nick Cavaday and junior Jay Weinacker will compete in the NCAA Doubles Championships starting on Thursday, May 22nd. Cavaday, who is competing in the doubles field for the second straight year, will pair with 2008 All-ACC selection Jay Weinacker in his first trip to the NCAA Championships as an individual. The duo is currently ranked No. 26 nationally by the ITA.
The Wolfpack duo combined to post an 18-9 record in the fall and spring seasons combined, including a 10-7 slate in dual matches at No. 1 doubles.
The pair will face Andy Connelly and Ross Cunningham of Tulsa, who are ranked No. 27 currently by the ITA. Both doubles teams met once this year already, with the Tulsa tandem defeating NC State, 9-7, at the ITA All-American Championships.
