Campana Named ACC Pitcher of the Week

RALEIGH, N.C. Lindsay Campana was tabbed as ACC Pitcher of the Week by the conference office on Monday, March 17 after tossing two complete game shutouts against Boston College over the past weekend. The honor is the first of her career.
In two starts against Boston College this past Saturday and Sunday, Campana recorded her 11th and 12th complete games of the season. On Saturday she allowed just three hits, with zero walks, as the Wolfpack shut out the Eagles 8-0. Again on Sunday the Templeton, Calif. sophomore was impressive, keeping the BC batters scoreless in eight innings in a tight 1-0 State win. In the two games, Campana pitched 14.0 innings, allowed zero runs, and struck out 16 batters. She currently leads the league in innings pitched, and owns a 1.71 ERA in 21 appearances this season.
State will return to the field next weekend with another home ACC series at the Curtis & Jacqueline Dail Softball Stadium. The Pack will take on Virginia Tech three times, with a doubleheader on Friday, March 21 (1 p.m., 3 p.m.) and one contest on Saturday, March 22 (12 p.m.) Live stats for all three games will be offered on GoPack.com, while live video streaming of Friday’s second game and the Saturday contest will be available via ACC Select.
