No. 26 M. Tennis Falls at No. 18 Michigan

The NC State men's tennis team fell in its first road match of the season to No. 18 Michigan, 6-1. With the win, Michigan improves to 4-1 and NC State falls to 4-2. Junior Christian Welte remained undefeated in singles with his win at No. 5, improving to 6-0 on the season.
The Pack dropped all three doubles matches to start play, including a close 8-6 decision at No. 1, as No. 16 Nick Cavaday and Jay Weinacker fell.
The Pack men kept it interesting in singles before the Wolverines pulled away.
Welte got his six win of the young season with a three-set triumph to close the match, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.
James McGee lost at No. 1 to the nation's No. 55 player after dropping a close first set in a tiebreaker.
Jay Weinacker went three sets in his loss at No. 3, his first of the season. He won the first set 6-3 before losing the second set, 6-4. He lost in a third set, 10-point tiebreak, 10-6 to end his match.
The Wolfpack men's tennis team will take on No. 35 Vanderbilt at Michigan's tennis center on Saturday.
