The NC State women’s tennis team is planning to hold a special reunion weekend on April 11-13. These days correspond with the last two home games of the season against Miami and Florida State. The match against Florida State will also be senior day for the lone senior Julia Roach. Roach is currently second all-time in program history for singles wins. She also is currently in first place in school history for all-time singles winning percentage at .653. She is also tied for third for doubles victories.
This is the first time the women’s tennis team has put together a reunion for former players. The goal is to unite past decades together to watch tennis as well as play at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center and the Curtis and Jacqueline Dail Outdoor Tennis Stadium.
The tentative schedule is for the alumni to meet at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center on Friday, April 11 to hit around and play a few friendly games. On Saturday the plan is to watch the match against Miami at noon and then go out for dinner later that night. Sunday will consist of eating breakfast together before going over to the tennis center for the senior day match against Florida State. After the conclusion of the match Amante's will cater a dinner at the tennis center.
For more information about the reunion you may contact former tennis player Lauren Barry at laurenjbarry@gmail.com or by calling her at (919) 637-0589.
