Gartrell Showing New Found Consistenc
Nikitta Gartrell has had a tremendous start to her third season with the Wolfpack by scoring in double figures in all five games this season and leads the league in minutes played at 37.6 minutes per game. Here is a breakdown where the Atlanta native's stats hold up in the ACC.

Bell Came to Play last Week
Sophomore Tia Bell set career high’s in points and rebounds and recorded her first career double-double in leading NC State to a 2-1 record last week. She averaged 15.0 points on 62.1 percent shooting (18-29), 8.0 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 1.7 assists in 34.0 minutes per game.
She led the Pack to a 65-41 win over Elon with 17 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks. After scoring 10 points against Yale on Saturday, she scored a career-high 18 points on Sunday against American.
She also shot 90.0 percent (9-10) from the free throw line for the week.
Converting From the Free Throw Line
NC State leads the ACC in free throw shooting at 78.8 percent (67-for-85). Nikitta Gartrell is 10th in the league at 78.6 percent, while Shayla Fields is 12th at 78.1 percent.
The school record is 71.8 percent in 1984-85.
Shot Selection is the Key
Through five games, NC State has shot well in two games and not so great in the three others and certain trends have developed in the early portion of the year.
So far the Pack is shooting 48.1 percent (113-for-235) inside the three-point line, while the team has struggled beyond the arc at 25.9 percent (15-for-58).
