Senior Khadijah Whittington became the 16th player in ACC history (4th at NC State) to compile 1,000 career rebounds when she hauled in an offensive rebound at the 4:47 mark of the second half against Virginia Tech (1/25). UNC's Erlana Larkins entered her game Saturday with 994 rebounds.
Back-to-back ACC Rebound Crowns
Khadijah Whittington is attempting to become just the second player in ACC history to lead the conference in rebounding in consecutive seasons. UNC's Tracy Reid led the league in both 1997 and 1998. Whittington paced everyone with 10.5 boards last year and is head and shoulders above the crowd this year at 11.9 caroms per game.
Working Overtime
Shayla Fields (34.45) and Khadijah Whittington (34.25) rank 1-2 in minutes played in the ACC this season. Fields has played the last 207 straight minutes for the Wolfpack spanning six games.
