No. 20 M. Tennis Cruises Past Davidson, 7-0

No. 20 NC State cruised past Davidson with a 7-0 win Saturday afternoon in the second match of a triple header. NC State grabbed the doubles point for the second time in as many matches, and didn't drop a set in singles, allowing more than four games in a set only twice in 12 frames.
The Pack doubles teams jumped out to a hot start against the tough Wildcats tandems, but NC State won at No. 2 and No. 3 to take the doubles point.
Nick Cavaday and Rob Lowe improved to 2-0 as a team with a strong 8-5 win Compeau and Noble of Davidson.
At No. 3, Christian Welte and David Rozek took out Lyons and Myers of Davidson for the 8-4 to clinch the doubles point.
In singles, Jay Weinacker took down Ethan Jaffee at No. 2 in quick fashion, 6-1, 6-3.
Welte was close behind, blanking Walker Lyons, 6-0, 6-0.
Lowe made quick work in his match as well, downing Scott Myers at No. 4, 6-2, 6-2, to clinch the team win.
NC State wasn't finished, however. Cavaday went to a tiebreak in his opening set before easily finishing off Flaviu Simihaian at No. 1, 7-6(4), 6-1.
Prandecki would win at No. 5 to make it 6-0. He took out Arie Hefter easily, 6-1, 6-1.
Graduate student Daniel Schinke capped off the Pack sweep with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Tareq Alani at No. 6 for the final margin.
NC State finishes its triple header with a 6:00 pm match against UNC Greensboro.
