Red-shirt freshman guard Megan Zullo has started 16 games this season and has played in 24 games overall in her career with never attempting a free throw. She has played a total of 528 minutes in her career.
Shayla Fields Becomes Steady Second Option
Junior Shayla Fields has scored in double figures in 10 of the last 12 games and is averaging 12.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists over that same span. In addition, she has led the team in scoring each of the last three games, averaging 16.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.
Gartrell Flourishing in Second Year with Pack
There hasn't been a sophomore slump for shooting guard Nikitta Gartrell. The Atlanta, Ga., native is third on the club with 9.4 points per game, leads all guards on the team with 4.1 rebounds and is second on the club with 3.1 assists per game. Gartrell has scored in double figures 10 times in 17 starts this year, including 13 points, with seven rebounds last time out against North Carolina.
Jordan and Beal Inserted into Starting Role
Sophomores Sharnise Beal and Chanita Jordan have each made their first career starts over the last two games in responce to Lucy Ellison's injury. Jordan scored nine points and grabbed eight rebounds in her starting debut at Boston College. Jordan has averaged 9.5 points on 66.7 percent (14-21) shooting and 5.3 rebounds over the last four games.
Beal made her first start against North Carolina and responded with nine points and four rebounds. She has averaged 8.8 points and 4.4 boards in the past five games.
