M. Tennis Wraps Up Play at Two Tournaments

Eric Turner and Daniel Schinke lost in their Sunday morning consolation matches at the Tar Heel Invitational. Turner, who was forced to retire for the second straight match, and Schinke, who lost two close sets, each had a singles win over the weekend.
Turner fell to Nate Nelms of Navy, 6-1, 3-0 ret. in his final consolation match.
Schinke played Dmitry Vlaskin of Coastal Carolina close in two sets, falling 7-5, 7-6.
Christian Welte and Frideric Prandecki finished competing at the Southern Collegiate Invitational. Welte had a win over Wofford's Paul Barholomy, 6-4, 6-2, in his consolation match.
Prandecki was taken down in his consolation match by Memphis's Michael Goerthoeffner, 6-4, 7-6.
NC State men's tennis will return to action for the All-American Championships September 28 to October 7 in Tulsa, Okla.
