M. Tennis Sends Trio to Virginia Invitational

NC State men's tennis will send three players to Charlottesville, Va. this weekend to compete in the Univ. of Virginia Invitational, September 14-16. Nick Cavaday, Jay Weinacker and Christian Welte will make the trip for the red and white. The Wolfpack is coming off of a tremendous season after an Elite 8 appearance in the NCAA Tournament and a final ITA ranking of No. 19.

All-ACC doubles selection Nick Cavaday headlines the group as the Wolfpack No. 1 singles players, while Jay Weinacker is poised to become the all-time singles wins champion in school history after back-to-back 20 win season to start his career. Welte has been a valuable member of the lineup in singles and doubles in his first two years on campus, and the junior will look to remain a fixture in the lineup with his play this fall.
