Guerra, Petrovic Selected to NCAA Championships

NC State women's tennis has accomplished another program first under head coach Hans Olsen as the doubles tandem of Alejandra Guerra and Daria Petrovic have been selected to participate in the NCAA Individual Championships. The event runs May 23-28 in Athens. Ga. at the conclusion of the team championships.
Petrovic and Guerra are ranked No. 24 nationally by the ITA and have had an outstanding season as the Wolfpack's No. 1 duo.
The tandem is 16-6 overall on the season, all at No. 1 doubles, and is an impressive 8-3 in ACC play (9-3 including the the ACC Tournament).
The selection marks the first time in school history that a Pack women's tennis team sent individuals to the NCAA Championships.
The women's tennis team, ranked No. 39 nationally, will travel to Athens, Ga. May 12 to face No. 31 Auburn in the first round of the NCAA Team Championships. The winner of that match will play the winner of No. 2 Georgia and South Carolina St.
