Guerra, Petrovic Compete in Doubles NCAA Championships

Athens, Ga. - NC State's doubles tandem of Alejandra Guerra and Daria Petrovic will compete in the NCAA Individual Doubles Championships in Athens, Ga. starting on May 24th at 5 p.m. The duo has a 17-6 record this season in doubles, including a handful of impressive wins over ranked teams. The tandem, ranked No. 24 nationally by the ITA, have posted a 5-2 mark against ranked doubles teams, including three top-10 wins and four top-13 victories overall.

The duo downed the nation's No. 13 ranked pair in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against No. 31 Auburn, but the 39th-ranked Wolfpack couldn't pull out the match in a tough 4-3 defeat.

Including the fall, the pair have posted an outstanding 27-8 mark as doubles partners this school year.
