Women's Basketball Now Ranked in Both National Polls

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State women’s basketball team is now ranked among the top-25 teams in both national polls. The Wolfpack enters the ESPN/USA Today Coaches’ poll No. 25 on Tuesday.Yesterday, the Associated Press ranked the Pack No. 24. NC State (21-8) has won three straight games and eight of its last nine overall to ascend into the national spotlight. The Wolfpack received 59 votes to crack the top-25 for the first time this year. NC State was just outside the poll last week, earning 22 votes, the second most among non-ranked teams.

NC State (21-8) is the No. 4 seed in the upcoming ACC Tournament, which is set to begin on Thursday at the Greensboro Coliseum. The Wolfpack will play the winner of the Florida State/Wake Forest game on Friday morning at 11 am. The game is televised on the Regional Sports Network.
