Women's Basketball Team enters Top 25

RALEIGH, N.C. – For the first time this season, the NC State women’s basketball team is ranked among the top-25 teams in the country. The Wolfpack enter the Associated Press rankings Monday at No. 24. NC State (21-8) has won three straight games and eight of its last nine overall to ascend into the national spotlight. The Wolfpack received 183 votes to crack the top-25 for the first time since January 30, 2006 when the club was ranked 24^th.

NC State sat just outside the poll with 66 votes last week, the most among non-ranked teams.

This is the fifth time the Pack has earned the 24^th ranking in the AP poll.

NC State (21-8) is the No. 4 seed in the upcoming ACC Tournament, which is set to begin on Thursday at the Greensboro Coliseum. The Wolfpack will play the winner of the Florida State/Wake Forest game on Friday morning at 11 am. The game is televised on the Regional Sports Network.
