Gartrell Flourishing in Second Year with Pack
There hasn't been a sophomore slump for shooting guard Nikitta Gartrell. Over the last three games, the Atlanta, Ga., native is averaging 12.3 points, 5.7 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.
Gartrell has scored in double figures in each of the last three games and has dished out 17 assists against only six turnovers for a staggering 2.8 A/TO ratio.
Zullo Finding Her Range
Red-shirt freshman shooter Megan Zullo has been lights out from 3-point range over the last two games, drilling nine of 11 attempts - that's a .818 shooting percentage folks! She canned a career-high five trey's against North Carolina A&T on Dec. 16 and came back with four more in the win at Ole Miss (12/21).
Balanced Attack
NC State has had the same four scorers (Whittington, Gartrell, Fields, Zullo) notch double figure point totals in each of the last two games, both wins for the Pack.
In addition, seven different players have scored in double figures this season.
