NC State Women's Basketball Holds Media Day

Coach Kay Yow and the 2007-08 NC State Wolfpack women's basketball team met with local and regional media on Tuesday at the team's annual media day at Reynolds Coliseum.

Yow addressed the gathered writers and reporters to discuss the upcoming season, her 33^rd on the sidelines with the Red and White. There is much anticipation, but also apprehension as she is fielding the youngest team during her time with the Wolfpack.

The roster is made up of 11 freshmen and sophomores among the 13-member squad.

NC State, which was picked seventh in the always competitive Atlantic Coast Conference, was tabbed No. 25 in the Preseason USA Today/ESPN Women’s Coaches’ Poll, while the Pack is receiving votes in the AP poll.

The 2007-08 season begins Wednesday with an exhibition game against Premier Players at 7 p.m.

The regular season gets underway on Sunday at home against UNC Greensboro at 2 p.m.
