NC State's nationally ranked women's tennis team will travel to New York for the USTA Women's College Tennis Invitational at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, the site of the US Open each year. The Wolfpack, ranked No. 41 in the final ITA rankings last season after back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, will send its full roster to compete in the field starting October 6.
Senior Julia Roach will lead the Wolfpack contingent while junior Neils Barringer is the only other upperclassman on the young, but talented, roster.
Sophomores Kristen Bleakley, Berkeley Brock and Catherine Grotz have a full year under their belt and have had strong fall seasons in 2007. Freshman Lenka Hojckova also joins the team as well and has been strong in the first few tournaments of her career.
