W. Tennis Sends Trio to ITA Southeast Regional Championships

Senior Julia Roach, sophomore Daria Petrovic and freshman Lenka Hojckova will compete in the ITA Southeast Regional Championships in Chapel Hill, N.C. The NC State trio will begin play on Friday, Oct. 17 with singles matches throughout the day. In the evening, Petrovic and Hojckova will team up in doubles.
Roach will play the tournament's number one seed, Catherine Newman of Vanderbilt, at 8:30 am Friday to get things going for the Red and White. Roach is 4-3 in singles this fall.
Petrovic is ranked No. 67 in the preseason and is the No. 5 seed in the region. She will face Emilee Malvehy of Wake Forest in her opening round match at 11:30 Friday.
Hojckova will face Link Leskosky of Charleston in her opening match at 3:30 pm Friday.
Hojckova and Petrovic, the No. 2 seed in the region, will play doubles at 7:00 pm Friday night against the winner of the Clemson and Winthrop matchup.
