The Wolfpack had a strong showing today at the Residence Inn Wolfpack Invitational. The NCSU women’s tennis team started off the day on the right foot in their warm-ups and let that continue with them onto the court.
The day began at
The rest of the day consisted of singles match-play where the Pack competed only in one round, the semifinals. With the outcome in the balance, the consistency of the women’s tennis team drove them to several victories. Most of these victories in today’s semis signaled as an outlook into tomorrow’s final matches that there will be plenty of Pack vs. Pack competitions. In flight A3, junior Julia Roach and freshman Berkeley Brock will face off in their main draw match along with frehsman Kristen Bleakley and senior Agustina Arechavaleta in flight A4 as well as sophomores Alejandra Guerra and Neils Barringer in flight A2.
With the combination of the pleasant weather consisting of a blend of warm air and a cool breeze and the dozens of athletes lining the bleachers and the JW Isenhour courts, there was a stimulated atmosphere of both competitive spirit and enthusiasm for the sport of tennis.
