Birmingham Ties For 10th At Sea Trail

SUNSET BEACH, N.C. - Molly Birmingham led three NC State golfers competing as individuals at the Sea Trail Women's Intercollegiate Sept. 24-25 at the par 72 Sea Trail Golf Resort in Sunset Beach, N.C. Birmingham shot one under par in the final round to finish six over and tied for 10th place. Freshman Lauren Doughtie, making her collegiate debut, finished three strokes behind Birmingham and tied for 20th place while sophomore Dawn-Marie Conaty posted a top 40 finish.
Ashley Hovda from the winning team, Western Carolina, was the individual medalist, carding a six under score. Complete results from the Sea Trail Intercollegiate are available at www.golfstat.com. The Wolfpack returns to action Oct. 7-9 at Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C. when NC State plays the Lady Tar Heel Invitational.
