NC State Men's Tennis Ranked No. 39 Nationally

RALEIGH, N.C. - On Tuesday, March 8, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its latest national rankings among collegiate programs. The NC State men's tennis team climbed 20 spots to No. 39, breaking the top 50 for the first time since the 1999 season, when the Wolfpack wrapped up the year ranked No. 49. Off to the third best team start in school history, head coach Jon Choboy's squad has defeated five ranked teams on the season, downing No. 58 Univ. Louisiana-Lafayette, No. 59 Brown, No. 68 Purdue, No. 70 Indiana and No. 30 Florida State. The team currently stands at 13-1 on the season.
The men's tennis team will hit the road this weekend, March 10-13, to compete at the Blue/Gray Classic in Montgomery, Ala. Following the road trip, the Wolfpack will resume action at home in an ACC showdown with visiting No. 23 Wake Forest on Wednesday, March 16. The 2 p.m. match will take place at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center on the NC State campus, with free admission being offered to all fans of Wolfpack tennis.
