Women's Hoops Ranked 23rd in Preseason AP Poll

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State women's basketball is ranked 23rd as announced by the Associated Press Tuesday, Nov. 8. The Wolfpack was also ranked 24th by the USA Today/ESPN coaches poll last week. The 2005-06 poll marks the 500th week all-time ranking publication for the AP. NC State has been ranked 318 weeks in that time.
The last time NC State was ranked in the preseason Top 25 was back in 2001-02. The squad entered the season with a No. 10 ranking. This year also marks the 21st time the Wolfpack has been placed in the preseason top 25.
The Wolfpack tips-off its 32nd season of women's basketball on Friday, Nov. 18, by hosting UNC Greensboro at 7 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum.
