NC State softball will host the NC State Fall Tournament Oct. 9-10 at the Walnut Creek softball complex. The Wolfpack will welcome 11 teams for the two-day event, with games starting at 10 am both days. NC State will play four games on Saturday, Oct. 9 before finishing with two more contests on Sunday, Oct. 10. East Carolina, UNC-Pembroke, Pfeiffer and Peace College are a few of the teams involved in the tournament.
The Wolfpack will kick off the tournament on field 1 against UNC-Pembroke at 10 am on Oct. 9. Following the conclusion of that game, NC State will play Mt. Olive on field 1. After a break, NC State will take on Queens University at 4 pm, with that game scheduled for field 1 as well.
"This tournament is an opportunity for the teams to see what they have," Wolfpack head coach Lisa Navas said. "The fall games are a good way to see how your team will perform in the spring."
On day two of the tournament, NC State will play two more contests, both on Walnut Creek's field 1. At noon, NC State will face the Pirates of East Carolina, before playing Belmont Abbey at 2 pm.
Another tournament is being hosted at Walnut Creek during the same weekend, with all high school kids eligible for free admission to the NC State Fall Tournament by wearing their high school or summer league softball jersey.
