NC State Sweeps Raleigh Invitational

Raleigh, N.C. - Moments after the NC State men's cross country team won the 6,400 meter run at the Raleigh Invitational, the Wolfpack women's "B-team" squad began a 5,000 meter run of their own. Clocking in at 18:14, Abigail Nelkie finished first in the race, leading the Pack en route to their first place team finish and a complete sweep of the Raleigh Invitational. Four Wolfpack runners finished in the top five, with Ginger Wheeler placing second, Jennifer Boyd landing third, and Kelly Brown coming in fifth.
The NC State cross country team will return to action on Friday, Oct. 1 at the Great American Championships. The event will be held at the SAS Complex in Cary, N.C.
