Wolfpack Men Win Raleigh Invitational

Raleigh, N.C. - Chris Kollar finished first and helped to lead the young "B-team" crop of Wolfpack runners at the Raleigh Invitational on Saturday. Braving a steady stream of rain, six of NC State's seven runners finished in the top ten during the 6,400 meter run. Kollar, who redshirted last season, was extremely impressive in his debut, clocking in at a final time of 20:18. In addition to Kollar, John Crews also competed for the first time since redshirting a season ago.
Thanks in part to Kollar, NC State finished first on the day, followed by East Carolina, UNC-Wilmington, Elon University and College of Charleston. Full results for the entire race are listed below.
The NC State cross country team will return to action on Friday, Oct. 1 at the Great American Championships. The event will be held at the SAS Complex in Cary, N.C.
