Day Two Complete at Wolfpack Invitational

NC State men's tennis won 17 combined matches at the Wolfpack Invitational on Sept. 18. During the second day of competition at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center, NC State picked up 14 singles wins and three more doubles wins. Over the first two days of competition, NC State has won 38 total matches.
Wolfpack freshman Mason Schermerhorn is 4-0 in singles en route to a spot in tomorrow mornings Singles Draw B final match. William Noblitt won two more matches, pushing his season singles record to 6-1 on the season.
Despite falling in doubles with Dennis Myers after a 4-0 start on the season, Noblitt has been impressive in singles, winning the title at the Landfall/UNC-W Invitational last weekend and posting a 3-1 mark so far in the Wolfpack Invitational. He'll play for the North consolation title tomorrow morning.
Val Banada advanced to the semifinals of the Singles Draw B with a 7-6, 6-2 win before falling. Myers continues to advance in the West draw of the A bracket, as he'll play for the title at 10:00 am Sunday.
Charlie Drew and Ryan Johnson advanced into the the Singles Draw B as well with Schermerhorn, as three of the four semifinal spots were wearing the red and white of NC State. Schermerhorn will play for the title at 10:30 on Sunday.
