NC State and its student-athletes are never shy about getting involved with community outreach programs. Under the supervision of Tonya Washington, NC State's Asst. AD for Student Athlete Development and Community Relations and Demar Bonnemere, the coordinator of events, the women's basketball student-athletes get involved whenever their schedules allow. This time, senior Kendra Bell and junior Billie McDowell visited York Elementary for a lunch break.

They sat with the kids and had lunch, a tasty meal with Lasagne as a main dish. Over cartons of chocolate milk and lunch trays, Bell and McDowell talked about what the kids learned thay day and what they liked about school. Afterwards the kids grabbed napkins and notebooks for the players to autograph.
