Southern Alamance High School is sad to see her go, but Brooke Isley is excited to call NC State her home for the next four years. Isley played four years under Coach Mike Johnson at Southern Alamance, where she led her team to the 3A state championships in 2001 and 2002. She leaves behind an impressive 48-7 career record with a 0.21 ERA. With a career batting average of .391, this pitcher and occasional first baseman also struck out 738 batters and allowed only 22 walks. Isley, who recorded 14 no hitters and four perfect games, was selected to the all-conference team in 2001, 2002, and 2003, and named the Class 3A Miss NCHSAA Softball Player of the Year. Also a member of the Carolina Cardinals, Isley helped her team secure the state championship in 2002 and the state and regional championships in 2003. Recently Brooke sat down with GoPack.com to give fans a chance to get to know her.
