Women's Tennis Ends Stay at NCAA Southeast Regionals

RALEIGH, N.C. - On Sunday, Oct. 24, NC State wrapped up its stay at the NCAA Southeast Regional Indoor tennis tournament in Winston-Salem, N.C. Currently ranked No. 69 in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), junior Barbara Orlay entered the day with a 3-0 tournament record in singles competition.
As one of the final eight participants remaining in the tournament field, Orlay was paired against Sylwia Ziolkowska of East Tennessee State. In two hard fought sets, Orlay battled but came up short, falling to Ziolkowska, 6-0, 6-3.
The Pack will now begin to prepare for the ITA National Indoor Championships. The Intercollegiate Tennis Association sanctioned event will take place Nov. 4 through Nov. 7 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
