Andre Iriarte Wins B-2 Singles Title at USC Invitational

Sophomore men's tennis standout Andre Iriarte won two matches on Sunday to win the B-2 Singles title at the USC Fall Invitational. Iriarte won five matches to improve to 8-3 on the season heading into the ITA Regional. Iriarte, who was the No. 1 seed in the draw, defeated two other seeded player en route to the title win. NC State has had a successful fall season as a team, winning 76 singles matches as a team.
He won easily in his semifinal matchup against Tuauo Roos of Armstrong Atlantic State, winning 2 and 0 to advance to the finals. Iriarte downed his final seeded player, dropping No. 8 Justin Malina of College of Charleston. After a close first set that was won 7-5 by the Wolfpack sophomore, Iriarte wasted no time in securing the title with a 6-0 final set.
