Iriarte Advances Into Semifinals of USC Invitational

Sophomore Andre Iriarte continues you impress at the USC Invitational, winning his third straight match to advance into the semifinals of the B-1 Draw to be played Sunday, Oct. 17. Iriarte is the No. 1 seed and he has lived up to that ranking, winning all three matches in straight sets. Freshman teammate Darragh Rowan, the No. 8 seed, fell in his second match on Saturday.
Iriarte downed Daniel Abrahao easily, winning 6-1, 6-1 to advance to face Jeremy Mastnak, the No. 5 seed in the draw. After winning a close first set 7-5, Iriarte prevailed 6-3 to advance to the semifinals.
Rowan fell to Parantap Chaturvedi, who would go on to defeat the No. 1 seeded player en route to a semifinal appearance, 6-4, 7-5.
Play concludes on Sunday in Columbia, S.C.
