RALEIGH, N.C. - The women's NC State "B" team took a 1-2-3-4 sweep to finish with a meet-low 21 points and take the team title at the Raleigh Invitational. The Pack's Erin Swain finished the 5K course in a time of 18:10. For the men, John Henderson and John Huber finished three and four to lead the men's "B" team to second place behind Edinboro University. Edinboro's Aaron Rowe took the top honors with a time of 24:57 on the 8K course.
Michelle Popple, Claudin Hull and Ginger Wheeler finished behind Swain to complete the front pack. Runners from Edinboro finished from fifth through 10th. The Pack's Kelly Brown was 11th and Liz Jackson scored in 16th.
Phillip Stafford, Lance Hall and Colin Cronin were eighth, ninth and tenth to complete the Wolfpack's scoring five for the men.
The Wolfpack will return to action next Friday, September 226th in the Great American Cross Country Festival. The event will be held at the SAS Soccer Complex in Cary. The college women's race will begin at 4:15 p.m., with the men's race to follow at 4:40 p.m.
