Pack Finishes 12th at Tucker Intercollegiate

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - NC State shot the second lowest team score of the day with a 287 to finish with a three-round total of 865 to finish 12th in the Tucker Intercollegiate. Fernando Mechereffe shot a team low round of 69 on the day and moved into fourth overall to lead the team. Arizona State took the team title with a score of 865, and New Mexico's Ian Medlock took the individual medal with a low score of 211.
The Wolfpack's scoring quartet also included Jerry Richardson, Stephen Lewton and Garry Hill. Richardson finished tied for 53rd after firing a 74 Sunday to finish with a three-round total of 226. Lewton finished just two strokes back for a share of 62nd. He shot a one-under par 71 on the day. Hill was just one-over on the day and finished tied for 70th with a final round of 73 to his credit. Wesley Horne's score was disqualified.
NC State will return to action in early October when it travels to Dalton, Ga. for the Carpet Capital Intercollegiate.
