Williams Advances to Finals in Men's High Jump

Raleigh, N.C. - The 2003 Outdoor NCAA Championships continued last night at California State University in Sacramento, California, with the Wolfpack competing in the finals of the women's 10,000 meters and in the prelims of the men's high jump. In the prelims of the men's high jump, freshman Jesse Williams was one of nine athletes to finish atop the field by clearing 7'01.75". Williams advances to the high jump finals Saturday night.
Junior Kristin Price earned All-American honors for the second straight season in the 10,000 meters. Last night Price finished third with her time of 32.50.01, the sixth time in her NC State career she has earned All-American honors in track. Also in the 10,000 meters last night, senior Beth Fonner finished 17th with a time of 34:42.43.
Competing tonight for NC State will be sophomore Andy Smith in the finals of the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
