Track's Last Chance to Qualify for NCAA Championships

Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State track and field squads got one last weekend of competition in before next week's NCAA Championships. The Wolfpack sent individuals to both Notre Dame and Iowa State this past weekend in hoped of gaining more NCAA qualifying marks.
At Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invite, Kristin Price finished second in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:36.24 and Beth Fonner took 10th in the 5,000 meters running a 16:54.64.
Five other individuals traveled to Ames, Iowa, and competed in Iowa State's National Qualifier. James Rowell took seventh in the weight throw with a heave of 55'06.25", while Kelly Smoke finished second in the women's weight throw (60'03.25"). Derrick High was 16th in the 60 meters (7.19), and Monterrio Adams was 17th in the 400 meters (48.53). Ebony Foster took 14th in the 60 hurdles, while Felicia Fant was sixth in the 200 meters (24.66) and eighth in the 60 meters (7.57).
