Woods Takes 11th in Men's 5,000 Meters

Baton Rouge, La. - The final day of the 2002 Outdoor NCAA Track & Field Championships ended just like the previous three days, with more NC State top finishes. Saturday night the Pack had two runners in the women's 3,000 meter steeplechase, and one runner in the men's 5,000 meters.
NC State had both of its runners in the steeplechase finish in the top-10. Senior Katie Sabino earned All-American honors for the second straight year with her seventh place finish in 10:07.63. Sophomore Megan Coombs was close behind in ninth place, running a 10:12.05.
Senior Ryan Woods was the lone runner for the men's team. Woods took 11th in the finals if the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:14.62.
