Sabino Takes Eighth At NCAA Championships

Eugene, OR--Junior Katie Sabino finished eighth in the finals of the 3,000 meter steeplechase Friday evening at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon on the campus of the University of Oregon.
The Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio junior finished with a time of 10:05.38, over 11 seconds faster than her semifinals time of 10:16.66 that seeded her 12th for the finals. Her eighth overall finish also notched a team point for the NC State women, who are now tied for 42nd overall at the meet.
Senior Chris Dugan will compete next for the Wolfpack men tomorrow when he takes the track in the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase. His qualifying time of 8:47.27 is sixth fastest in the field and is his second quickest mark of the season. The race is scheduled to begin at 6:45 PDT.
