Track Competes at Duke Invitational

NC State got its top finish on the day from Katie Bolac. She took second in the pole vault with a mark of 11¹11.75². Teammate Annemarie Clark finished 11th in the pole vault (10¹06²). Also performing well for the women¹s squad was freshman Felicia Fant. Fant placed 13th in the 100 meters (12.15) and 21st in the 200 meters (25.34). In the 3,000 meters, Janelle Vadnais finished 12th (10:02.44), just ahead of teammate Josianne Lauber in 15th place (10:09.82).
The men¹s team had a couple of top-10 finishes. Andrew Kerins finished sixth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 54.54. Oliver Gatchalian was close behind placing 18th (56.67). Also coming home with a sixth place finish was Isaiah Oglesby in the hammer with a toss of 188¹01². Freshman James Rowell took 11th in both the discus (142¹07²) and in the hammer (166¹04²).
NC State will return to action next weekend, when the Pack travels to North Carolina.
