Patterson Named ACC Performer Of The Week Again

Raleigh, NC (Sept. 25) - For the second consecutive week, redshirt sophomore David Patterson was named ACC Performer of the Week by the Atlantic Coast Conference. After capturing 1998 ACC Rookie of the Year honors in cross country, Patterson has been the top finisher for the eighth-ranked Wolfpack in both of the teams meets this season, including an individual victory at the adidas Wolfpack Invitational last week.

Patterson, a Cary, N.C., native, finished fifth in Fridays men's 8K race at the Great American Cross Country Festival at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, NC with a time of 24:23.7. He was the top finisher among ACC runners as he led the Wolfpack men's team to a second-place finish with 48 points. Patterson also won the Performer of the Week honor last week.
