Daniel And Peterson Are Together Again

New Tulsa basketball coach Buzz Peterson will have a familiar face sitting on his bench next season. Al Daniel, who had been working for a sports management firm in Atlanta, is returning to basketball as a member of Peterson's staff.

The two coaches had previously worked together at NC State, where they were assistants under Les Robinson in the early '90's.

Peterson, who played on North Carolina's national championship team in 1982, recently stepped down as the head coach at Appalachian State to replace Bill Self at Tulsa. Daniel was a standout forward at Furman during his playing career.
