Pack's Rodgers Notches NCAA Provisional Mark at JMU

RALEIGH, N.C. (May 13, 2000) -- Three members of the NC State track and field team headed up to James Madison this past weekend, to compete in the James Madison Invitational.
Senior Brendan Rodgers posted a NCAA provisional mark in the 1,500 meters, when he placed 7th with a time of 3:44.69. Also at JMU, Katie Sabino took fifth in the 3,000 meters (9:45.80), while teammate Molly Purser finished ninth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:32.85.
The rest of the NC State track squad competed in the Carolina Classic at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and results were not available late Saturday night. NC State will return to action next weekend, when the Pack heads to Atlanta, Ga., to compete in the Reebok Invitational.
