NC State Track Competes at NCAA Championships

Fayetteville, Ark. (March 11) -- The NC State track and field team competed at the indoor NCAA Championships this past weekend at the University of Arkansas.
The Pack's highest finish on the day went to senior Sherlane Armstrong. Armstrong placed seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 42'06.75". Armstrong earns All-American status, for her Top-10 finish.
Senior Chan Pons had the highest men's finish on the day, as Pons was ninth in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 14:06.54. Other results saw junior Tyrone Dozier finish 14th in the 400 meters (47.09) and Isaiah Oglesby place 16th in the weight throw with a mark of 57'05".
NC State will begin its outdoor season this weekend, when the Pack travel to Charlotte, N.C., to compete against UNC Charlotte.
