NC State Track Wraps Up Action At Pepsi Invite

Blacksburg, Va. (Jan. 22) - The NC State track & field squad came away with high marks this past weekend while competing at the Pepsi Invitational at Virginia Tech.
Freshman Kristen Pace notched an NCAA provisional mark in the high jump. Pace leaped 5*10", and finished in third place. Junior Annmarie Clark also had a strong day for the Pack. Clark placed fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 10'11.75", and also finished with a time of 56.69 in the 400 meters for a sixth place finish.
The men's team also got positive results from its pole vaulters. Senior Zack Whitlow finished fifth with a mark of 15'11.75", while sophomore David Kessler placed eighth with a mark of 15'05.75". Also placing high was sophomore Isaiah Ogelsby who was fifth in the weight throw, and 13th in the shot put.
NC State will be back in action next weekend, as the Wolfpack travel to Annapolis, Md., to take part in the Navy Invitational January 29.
