Raleigh, N.C. - (Oct. 12) For the second time this season, NC State's men's and women's
cross country squads are among the top ten in the nation. The teams received
this honor following their victories at the Nittany Lion Invitational at Penn
State University last Saturday.
The men, who have won all three of their meets this season, are currently third behind defending champion Arkansas and Stanford. Arkansas and Stanford finished first and second, respectively, in last season's NCAA Championships at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence, Kansas.
The women, who have been riddled with injuries this season, moved up one spot to tenth this week following their victory over 19th-ranked Nebraska and 21st-ranked Baylor. The Wolfpack's only setback this season came against second-ranked Arkansas in the Sam Bell Invitational at Bloomington, Indiana.
