A two-time All-ACC Academic Team performer, Brian Himelright enters his second year as a graduate assistant for the track and field teams.

A track and field and cross country performer, Himelright placed second in the 3,000m steeplechase at the 2012 ACC Championships to earn his first All-ACC accolade. Earlier that year he ran a season-best time of 8:56.46 to qualify for the NCAA East Regional meet and also lowered his collegiate-best time in the 1,500m to 3:47.24.

Himelright earned his degree in technology engineering and design education from NC State in May 2012.
